I haven’t looked at the Matt Walsh video yet.
But whichever way it goes, we have Adam being made on the 6th day and then there is an evening and a morning. Then there is a seventh day. Then Adam — the same man — sins.
Sure, the word “day” can refer to general periods of time (in that day, in those days, etc).
But is there specific reason to believe *this* day in Gen 1:31 is anything other than a normal day?
If it’s not a normal day, it sure seems strange that the verse describes there being an evening and a morning. If it’s not a normal day, there are implications for how long Adam lived.
There are also implications if we were to accept that death occurred before Adam lived, because that would contradict Genesis 3. It becomes even more concerning once we realize that a rejection of normal days and YEC leads to contradictions to what Jesus and Paul say about Adam.
